Fund Raiser for Cynthia Tisdale’s Stevenson Park Chinese Fringe Tree Memorial

Purpose:
Honor and memorialize Cynthia Tisdale in a way that meets Joe Tisdale's needs for his mother to be remembered as a great woman.
Demonstration of Compassion:
Through coordination with the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department, a Chinese Fringe Tree was planted on Friday, May 25, 2018 at a beautiful, prominent position in Stevenson Park close to the track, Gazebo and City Hall. The City planted the Tree, installed an irrigation system and will oversee the the Tree’s health on a continuous basis. The Memorial Tree will have a plaque with inscription determined by Joe Tisdale. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Tree ceremony was taken place on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11am.
Costs:
· Chinese Fringe Tree - $100.00
· Plaque - $800.00
Donations:
$900 of the donations will go toward procurement of the Chinese Fringe Tree $100.00 and Memorial Plaque $800.00 . At Joe Tisdale's request, the excess funding of $1,050.00 will be provided to the The Santa Fe Strong Fund. The Santa Fe Strong Fund is a project operated under the 501(c)(3) of the Santa Fe Education Foundation. The Fund is governed by a local Steering Committee appointed by the Executive Committee of the Education Foundation. The National Compassion Fund (NCF) will administer the distribution of funds under an agreement with the Education Foundation.
