As many of you know, my mother was taken to the hospital on march 21st and admitted to the icu. She suffered 2 small strokes that caused a bad fall which resulted in a broken femur, broken ribs, broken radius and sepsis in her body. Her titanium implant that replaces her radial head in her right arm that she got in 1999 was infected as well, so they did a debriding surgery and took out the implant until that is healed so she has no elbow for the moment and she will need another surgery in 4-6 months to put the implant back in. She will be in the hospital for a while, then a skilled nursing facility, then a rehab facility for several months. Her husband Xavier who is a decorated Marine Vet with a honorable discharge has Parkinson’s and is not able to care for her as he needs help himself. He misses her terribly but he has been moved to Houston and he is supposed to be cared for by his brother. Thankfully, my sister Nicole has been there for her every step of the way and I couldn’t be more grateful. My niece has taken in my parents dog, Ben, and she has gotten him the care he needs as well.

We have created this gofundme to try and help my mother with her past due bills and current expenses to make sure her home, dog, and husband are taken care of while she is in recovery. She will also be moving when she gets out of rehab and is able to go home and will need funds to help with that!

Any amount helps to ensure things are taken care of because they are on a fixed income.
