Hello, my name is Vidyakar Rao. I am writing this today as my beloved niece, Cynthia, tragically passed away this morning. She was a very healthy 23 year old studying at Texas Wesleyan University and pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

We are all heartbroken and shocked that this has happened.

On Sunday, Cynthia was in her dorm room and suddenly had a seizure. She was taken to the hospital where they announced her brain dead hours later. Hoping for a miracle, we waited. Cynthia was just taken off of life support this morning.

She was a beautiful, kind hearted girl and had so much life ahead of her. She travelled to the United States away from her friends and family to be able to pursue her passions.

We are creating this fundraiser to help with funeral costs and the expenses involved in being able to send her body back to India so her funeral can be held with her family members and loved ones around.
