The week before thanksgiving my family, Shaun (dad), Cynthia (mom), Granny Joann, and Scott (little brother) all came down with Covid. Everyone’s case was pretty mild except for my mom. Mom started to get progressively worse until she was then taken to the emergency room and was told she has pneumonia in both of her lungs. 

Since then she has been in the hospital for over a month now. She had her ups and downs but recently took a bad turn when the doctors found her blood oxygenation drop down to 50. They rushed her down to ICU where she was sedated, intubated, and placed on a ventilator. They took a CAT scan to find out she had the presence of new pneumonia at the base of her right lung which was causing her to go backwards.

Her doctor has reached out to us and said that they are hoping that within the next 24-48 hours they can begin to show progress in moms levels and lungs. If they cannot then they will have to begin the process of transferring mom to another hospital. They would be transferring her to another hospital that can place her on an ECMO that can remove the carbon dioxide from her blood and send it back into her body fully with oxygen. We found out that all the major hospitals in Texas with this machine are at capacity and mom is on a waiting list. However, we were told that there is a possibility for mom to be transferred to another state such as Kansas City, Tennessee, and Louisiana.

We've set up this gofundme to help with any and all expenses to send dad to wherever they will possibly send mom. He will have to be sent on an FMLA from work and granny and my brother will have to be primarily at home. My wife (Amanda) & myself (Nathan) will do our hardest to be there wherever we need to be, but this is going to be a lot more overwhelming than what we had ever anticipated. 

These funds will not be used for anything except for medical bills, travel, lodging, and food (when we even have an appetite). Anything you give whether it's $5 or $10 will be a blessing to my dad and the rest of the family. By some miraculous means that the Lord decides to heal mom to where she won't have to be sent off these funds will be strictly used for medical bills that will most definitely come our way once this is over.
