Our beloved sister, Cyndi, recently experienced a life-threatening medical emergency that has changed everything in an instant.

While at home in North Dakota, Cyndi suffered a sudden heart attack and was rushed to the emergency room. Due to the severity of her condition, she was airlifted to Minnesota, where doctors discovered a tear in her aorta—a critical and life-threatening situation. She immediately underwent a complex, 9-hour open-heart surgery, which included repairing the tear and performing a bypass on one of her arteries.

By the grace of God and the incredible medical team, her surgery was successful. She is now resting as we wait for doctors to determine the next steps in her recovery journey. Will she require more medical attention and hospital stay? Will she be able to go home?

As her siblings, we are incredibly grateful that she is still with us—but we also know that this is just the beginning of a long road ahead. Cyndi will need ongoing care, rehabilitation, and support as she works toward healing and regaining her strength.
