My name is Doug and I have created this fundraiser in the name of my sister, Cyndi. Cyndi is my older sister and has been a true blessing in my life for as long as I can remember. Anyone that knows her would tell you the same thing. Cyndi is the type of person to put herself last in order to take care of the ones she loves. Cyndi’s love of life, her children, her animals and her work inspire me and many others every day.
Recently, Cyndi has unfortunately been thrown into the ring to fight for her life in a battle against Cancer. This type of breast cancer is aggressive and rare, and threatens both her womanhood and her life. It is my goal with this fundraiser to ensure that Cyndi does not have to fight alone. It is my hope that all those reading this will want to come together and fight alongside her.
Her doctors have already created a treatment plan and it looks like this is going to be a long and arduous quest. Nevertheless, we are being positive and planning for a victory; a victory that unfortunately does not come cheap. So, we are planning now for the lost wages, medical bills, and travel expenses related to upcoming treatments and surgeries.
It is at a time like this that I remember how thankful I am to have the benefits and insurances that would kick in if I ever experienced a situation like this. Unfortunately, Cyndi doesn’t have these benefits; she is single and has very limited resources. It is because of this that I have created a goal to raise $10,000 dollars to help Cyndi with just a fraction of what this is going to cost her. I know it's a lot, and money is tight for everyone, but even $5 dollars here and there will add up and make a huge difference.
So, I would like to challenge everyone reading this to come together as a strong show of force, to back Cyndi up, in her fight of a lifetime…
People say it takes a village to raise children…..well I think that with the help of a village, we can help Cyndi fight this battle and KICK CANCER’S ASS.
