Unfortunately Cyder has recently been diagnosed with FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease). This causes the inability to go pee, bloody pee if any, extreme discomfort, over grooming of his private parts, and kidney failure. Which as of today has lead to a bladder obstruction causing him to be hospitalized and sedated. If anyone knows me they know I love my animals as if they are my very own flesh and blood. We have had Cyder since he was 4 weeks old and all before the age of 1 we're experiences hardships I would never wish upon anyone. Seeing him so lethargic, tired, and in pain these past few days has been some of the worst of my life. It is so hard to see someone you love so much in pain and nothing you can do about it. He is the sweetest, most loving, rambunctious little kitty I have ever met. I never thought I would miss zoomies, making biscuits, or never getting comfortable until he was literally incapable of doing so.
I feel a sense of shame asking anyone for anything ever. On the other hand hardships in life have led Gabby and I to reach out to our family, friends, and community in order to seek the help we need. Cyder is going to get the best treatment possible, I will make sure of that. However, any amount, even a penny, is a blessing in making it possible.
Gabby and myself are eternally grateful to everyone who has reached out and sent positive vibes to Cyder previous to his hospitalization and hope to keep that momentum until his release. We miss him so much and cant wait for him to be his wild, crazy, and care free self.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts,
Lauryn & Gabby
