Together for Anna Mae - Fighting Stage IV Cancer

Our dear friend Anna Mae is courageously battling stage IV cancer. Over the past several months, she has endured countless hospital stays and ongoing rounds of immunotherapy. Through it all, she continues to smile, create art, and remain hopeful.

“In March 2025 I noticed a small lump in my groin. Over several months it had grown steadily in size and was causing me tremendous pain. I opted to have it surgically removed.

It was confirmed to be an enlarged lymph node and sent for a biopsy. The results showed the mass was consumed by tumor cells. I was diagnosed with stage 3 Metastatic Melanoma.

Over the next couple months I deliberated next steps with my doctors. I received opinions from several oncologists, all of them urged me to have a lymphadedectomy, to remove other lymph nodes from the same area to prevent the spread of disease. I had scheduled the surgery for the end of October.

Unfortunately within that time I developed more masses. PET scans showed dozens of new tumor sites throughout my body, indicating the progression of stage 4. The lymphadedectomy was canceled and I began infusions early October.

I am very grateful to have such a supportive and loving community. I have an amazing care team and tremendous faith in medicine. I want to thank everyone who has expressed their love and support for me throughout this time.” ~Anna Mae
