Cyclone Maila Disaster Relief - Milne Bay

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tim and i am fundraising to provide disaster relief for the island communities of Milne Bay in Papua New Guinea that are currently being impacted by a severe cyclone in the region.
These communities are very remote and predominately live subsistence based, gathering water from wells, fruit and vegetables from small gardens and fish from the sea. The villages are mostly bush material/thatched houses which cannot withstand the severe weather from a cyclone.
Gardens and houses have been flattened, reefs destroyed, and ground water inundated with salt from the storm surges.
I have an initial target of purchasing and delivering 500 x 100 kina ($35 aud equivalent) basic food packs which will help sustain lives until more can be done.
Each pack contains;
1 Bucket with lid
5 x KG of Rice
1 x KG of Sugar
2 x KG of Flour
6 x packets of 2 minute noodles
1 x packet of tea
6 x packets of savory biscuits
500 grams of salt
500 mls of cooking oil
2 x tins of canned fish
6 x bars of soap

Water will be carried and available on the delivery boat to refill containers at each location.

All purchasing and allocations will be posted on the Facebook page
