Cycling over 200 km to the LED: Support Stichting ALS!
Donation protected
On Thursday, February 6th, 2025, the National Econometricians Day (LED) will take place in Nieuwegein. In the days leading up to this event, Eva, Jesse, and Bart of the VESTING Board will embark on a cycling journey from Groningen to Nieuwegein—a distance of over 200 km! This two-day trip on Tuesday and Wednesday will be in support of Stichting ALS, raising funds and awareness for this cause.
What is ALS?
ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive disease of the nerve cells that causes muscles to gradually stop functioning. The failure of the respiratory muscles is often the cause of death. The exact cause of this fatal disease is still unknown, and currently, there are no medications that can stop or cure it. PSMA and PLS are two diseases closely related to ALS.
Why Stichting ALS?
Stichting ALS funds scientific research to uncover the causes and develop treatments for ALS, PSMA, and PLS. Additionally, the organization supports projects aimed at improving the quality of healthcare and life for patients and their loved ones.

Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. Together, we can contribute to the fight against these devastating diseases. Thank you for your support!
