♂️ Cycling Coast to Coast for Fish & Chips – It’s Time for Action
Hi, we’re Ted and Lucas, and in early March we’re attempting something a bit mad...
We’re cycling coast to coast from Whitehaven to Whitby, across the country, with very little training, a lot of determination, and honestly… a fair bit of winging it. Why? Because mental health is something that affects more people than we realise — including us.
We’re doing this ride to raise money for Mental Health: Time for Action, a charity focused on turning conversations into real, practical support.
Why This Matters to Us
Mental health isn’t just a cause we picked — it’s personal.
I’ve nearly lost family members to mental health struggles, and both of us have dealt with our own battles too. It’s a difficult subject, one that’s still too often brushed under the carpet or joked about until it’s too late.
We know first-hand how isolating it can feel, and how hard it is to ask for help. That’s why we believe in Time for Action — because awareness is important, but action saves lives.
The Challenge
Whitehaven → Whitby
Early March
❄️ Cold weather, long days, tough climbs
Minimal training
One big goal at the end: fish and chips by the sea
We’ll be sharing the journey on social media under the name:
“Cycling Coast to Coast for Fish and Chips – It’s Time for Action”
Every mile we ride is for those who feel like they’re fighting battles alone.
How You Can Help
Any donation — big or small — helps support vital mental health services and shows people they are not alone.
If you can’t donate, sharing this page means just as much.
Thank you for supporting us, believing in the cause, and helping turn mental health awareness into real action.
