On November 19th I was riding my bike home from industry night on S. 1st street. I still am not entirely sure what happened, but when I came to in the hospital I was told that they think I was struck by a vehicle. I still am having trouble tracking down a police report, but I got my bike back and honestly am just happy to be alive. Anyway, after a long night of CT scans, xrays, stitches, and general emergency care, I made my way home at around 6am. My phone was missing so I called a San Jose cab to take me home, contacted my boyfriend via WhatsApp, and began the recovery process.

I received 11 stitches in my forehead, and somehow managed not to fracture my orbital! Good news. CT scans and xrays showed no damage to my skull, chest, knee, and wrist. I am very lucky. Unfortunately, 3 of my front teeth were broken. One was broken into several pieces, and I require an implant to set a new tooth in its' place, as well as bonding and 2 crowns on the other teeth.

I am healing quickly and am so grateful for the amazing medical treatment that I've been given. After everything is said and done, the bills piling on top of each other are becoming increasingly difficult for me to deal with. My dental work will be costing somewhere between $7,500 and $9,000. My hospital bills, not including the ambulance ride, are a few thousand. It's been a month and a half and I am finally realizing that I need help.

I want to say thank you so much to everyone that has given me kind words, advice, good thoughts, and all of that mushy friendship stuff. Y'all are the real MVPs and I love you.
