Cycling 315km to support those who help Tilly

Hi, my name is Dave Thompson. At the ripe old age of 41 and three quarters, I've taken on the challenge of cycling 315km right through the night - all in one go. No mean feat for a guy of my shape and mass!

I'm hoping to raise money for a number of charities and organisations that help support my daughter Tilly. Tilly has a diagnosis of KAT6A syndrome, which is recognised as a relatively new genetic condition. Less than 350 cases have been registered worldwide.

Tilly gets has had support from a number of different areas such as her school, Trafford SEND, the Dyspraxia Foundation, Mikeys Wish, and other amanzing places such as Graystone Action Sports Academy.

We are hoping to raise a little bit of money to help support Tilly and other families who find themselves in a situation where there really isn't much information to help understand and make sense of a diagnosis. These organisations help by sharing information, offering support groups and ultimately bringing awareness to this specific set of conditions.

KAT6A research is still very much in its infancy. Little is known about the vast range of effects and impacts this condition can have due to the huge range of severity it can manifest. There is not a KAT6A charity or support group in the UK. We would like to help change this.

Thank you.
