Cycling 1500 Miles-the distance from Cardiff to Mostar!

My name is Osian and I am 15 years old.

I am extremely excited as I have been nominated to go to one of the United World Colleges, a group of colleges designed to bring peace and sustainability to the world through education.

UWC Mostar offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and is located in the beautiful city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovia. It was established in 2006, aiming to "build bridges between people and cultures through inspiring, quality education".

This is my dream school, and I have worked hard throughout my education to get to this point. I feel extremely fortunate that I have this opportunity, especially given that the GB branch of UWC only selects approximately 50 people, from thousands of applicants, to send to all 18 colleges worldwide.

As many of you know, I have spent 6 years as a member of the The Awen Project, a small, free-to-attend, democratic learning community based outdoors in nature. I feel that the opportunity to be part of the UWC network is the perfect next step for my learning.

I am attempting this challenge so I can raise some funds to make my dream a reality.
