Cycling for Art: Maud Morgan Arts
Tax deductible
I’m pedaling 100 miles for Maud Morgan Arts on May 15, 2016. Why? Because through their Art at the Heart Fund they provide scholarships to children and homeless teens who cannot afford tuition fees. Just a few blocks from the art center is a shelter for homeless teens. Who knew? When MMA found out, they started the Art at the Heart Fund. This seriously amazing Fund gives shelter members the opportunity to receive art classes and training. That’s Kitty in the photo above, painting a beautiful mural. She benefited from the shelter’s services at a critical time in her life. Now, with her artistic talent and enthusiasm, and help from MMA, she made a new teen shelter shine!
This is inspiring stuff! I want you to be part of it!
Can’t pedal? You can help me and an amazing group of friends raise funds by riding in the Charles River Wheelmen Spring Century Ride. Our goal is $7500 to fund scholarships for the 2016-17 year. You can help inspire us to push our pedals by contributing towards every mile we ride.
Some donation math: .25 cents / mile = $25; $1 / mile = $100; $5 / mile = $500; $10 / mile = $1000. There is no limit! Every penny is fuel to reach the finish.
Who’s on our cycling team? Our team is a highly motivated group of family and friends who love art, and also love helping people. We are: Catherine Kernan, Haley MacKeil, Lori Damon, Kyle Damon, Miles Damon, Ajani Alock, Atticu Olivet, Elissa Traher, LB Hetherington, Bill Huber, Todd Lemke, and Chris Hug.
Who benefits? Cambridge public schools and local organizations such as Youth on Fire and Y2Y are some of the beneficiaries of the MMA partnerships. Funds provide scholarships to children and teens who are deeply interested in the arts and who need financial support.
Join our team by donating to the Art at the Heart Fund! Every penny and dollar will inspire us to push to the finish.
Gratefully,
Lori Damon
