Each week across Yorkshire, 15 people are told they have a brain tumour. Brain tumours can affect anyone, at any time.
Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity sets out to improve the lives of people who have been impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis. The charity's mission is to fund world-class research in Yorkshire to find kinder brain tumour treatments.
Our cycle team (led by Captain Simon Grafton includes Tim North, Paddy Kidd, Phil Webb, Rob George and David Rowley) will be taking on a six-day cycling challenge from London to Bordeaux covering 440 miles plus a ferry crossing to fundraise for YBTC.
All of the team will not need reminding that they are in their 60's so this will be a real challenge.
The team will be encouraged along by a support vehicle manned by three of the team's wives for the whole journey with a healthy supply of Werther's Originals to keep the old boys going.
We will be setting off from Greater London on Tuesday 25th August, arriving in Bordeaux on Sunday 30th August.
We are aiming to raise as much money as possible for this very important charity and your support would be greatly appreciated.
