On 7th May this year Mick Povey, Steve Lathan and Mike Pottage will be setting off to cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats over two weeks. We will be part of a supported trip the cost of which is fully paid for us as individuals.

Dementia and the effects of it are particularly close to us all, as it is to many others either as a Sufferer, Carer or family member so we have decided to raise for money through sponsorship for the dementia support group Chrysalis based in the Tyne Valley.

Chrysalis hold many activities at their centres in Hexham and Prudhoe for dementia sufferers, helping them learn new hobbies, and making new friends in a warm and welcoming environment with the help of Chysalis volunteers.

Carers and Family members can gain practical help, encouragement, build friendships and receive support. Occasionally, expert speakers such as solicitors, doctors and care managers attend the meetings and pass on advice.
