Cycle for Mum - Treatment for Metastatic Bone Cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
First off, thank you so much for stopping by and reading this.
On Saturday, July 5th — I’ll be embarking on a solo cycle on my single speed bike, from John O'Groats in Scotland to Land’s End in Cornwall (a 1,000-mile journey) to raise money for my mum who has recently been diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer.
With advances in cancer therapies, we’re hopeful that with the right care, we can maintain her condition and potentially even bring her into remission. There are several promising treatments available, and we truly believe that with the right approach, she can keep fighting this battle and improve her quality of life.
Due to current pressure on the NHS, the treatments most likely to help aren’t available at the moment. So we’re hoping to seek out private care, specifically working with clinics in London that specialise in metastatic cancer treatments. These clinics offer treatments that will make a real difference in her fight.
I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help cover the costs of her private care. Any donation, big or small, will go directly towards her treatment. I’ll be documenting my ride along the way, so you can follow my journey along the way.
I understand times are tough right now, so if you’re unable to donate, sharing this page with your friends and family would mean just as much. The more people who see this, the more we can do to help my mum.
Lastly, if we’re fortunate enough to raise more than we need for my mum’s care, any excess funds will go directly to Thomas Seyfried’s research charity, The Foundation for Metabolic Cancer Therapies. His work is dedicated to advancing research and supporting new treatments for cancer.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for all your support.
