Cycling in Memory of James
Cycling 127 Miles for the ADHD Foundation: In Memory of James Arthur Turner
On September 13th, we will embark on an epic journey, cycling the entire length of the Leeds-Liverpool canal - 127 miles from Leeds City Centre to Liverpool - to raise money in aid of the ADHD Foundation, in memory of James Arthur Turner.
It has been one year since our family lost James, and all of us have deeply felt the pain of his absence. In this challenging time, I (Rosy) wanted to do something meaningful and somewhat mental to honour his memory.
James lived his life with undiagnosed ADHD, and it is in his memory that we have chosen to support the ADHD Foundation. This organisation works tirelessly to support individuals like James, helping them to navigate life’s challenges and unlock their full potential. My parents, brother and I hope that through this fundraiser, we can help others who may be struggling in silence to receive the support they need, something we wish James could have had.
James was the life of every party. He had an energy that could light up any room! In keeping with his vibrant personality, I’ll be sharing live updates and links as I prepare for this journey and throughout the event. James loved a good party, so let's make this as lively as possible!
Why the ADHD Foundation?
The ADHD Foundation works in partnership with individuals, families, doctors, teachers, and other agencies to improve well-being, educational attainment, behaviour, and life chances through better understanding and self-management of ADHD, ASD, and related learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and Tourette's Syndrome. They also provide training for GPs, teachers, Social Care agencies, and other professionals, raising awareness to bring about positive change and inclusion.
Your support means the world to us. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to the ADHD Foundation and help make a real difference in the lives of those living with ADHD and related conditions. Let’s come together to celebrate James’s life and support a cause that is close to our hearts.
Thank you for being a part of this journey with us.
