Above is 12 year old Joe Grundy about to have a Spinal Tumour removed in Sept 2020, what a hero and we are raising as much as we can to help kids like Joe in the future.

Help me stop Brave kids like Joe not have to suffer the trauma that him and his family have had to endure please.

This event raise funds for all the hard work that Alder Hey do for Children like Joe.

Joe's Story

Joe Grundy from Chester is one very special and Brave boy. He was taken ill in Sept 2020 and from this article his dad has sent me you can read how very serious it was. Joe was taken into Alder Hey and received treatment that was simply out of this world.

Joe didn't moan and he faced this like a true warrior with the support of his parents.

Now we at Jet 2 Manchester want to do something in return to thank you Alder Hey Hospital and all the staff there for everything they have done for Joe and his family.

We hope we can say a massive thank you for all that they have done, something which they do on a daily basis striving to save children's lives just like Joe, giving the gift of life.

No parent should have to watch their child go through this and it could so easily be any one of us in the future, your whole life can change in an hour and the wonderful people at Alder Hey are always there offering knowledge, expertise and care for all children.

A group of Lads from Jet 2 at Manchester airport will be Cycling from Manchester Airport T1 Jet 2 Checkin to Alder Hey Discharge Lounge and back on Sat 29th May 2021.

We need your support to raise a target of £5000+ which is easily possible. Please donate whatever you can to support these 2 very very worthwhile charities and of course us on the day.

We can only hope you will never need the skill and expertise of the wonderful people at Alder Hey but we know that should you and your children ever do they will be there for you every step of the way.
