Cycle for Eden

Donation protected

On the weeks leading up to Christmas (yes, I know, the lights are already up on Orchard Rd), an idea was planted to do to a Round-Island cycle in Singapore to raise funds for Eden Home, Mongolia.

I first visited the kids back in 2017 with my family, and they’ve left an indelible mark on my heart. The way they loved, cared and showed compassion towards each other and even to us - strangers - was a true reflection of God’s unconditional love for each and everyone one of us.

The kids come from various backgrounds, but most of them from broken families. Before Eden Home, they had to scavenge through dumps sites to fend for themselves. Since then, I’ve witnessed countless miracles and blessings including Oyuntulhuur getting into medical school last year!

I’ve had the privilege of mural-ising their bedrooms with very wisely chosen Bible verses by the kids and now re-branding and branding Eden Home and Precious Life (a new kids home for infants). Since my family and I didn’t get to go this year, I thought another way of giving back was to raise funds through this 142km bike ride!

This is where you step in: As I’m sure you all know, COVID-19 has affected everything in the world, including the funding for Eden Home. As I’m writing this (October), temperatures are already as low as -3˚C during the day - I can’t begin to imagine what their -35˚C winters look like!! These temperatures call for more expenses and resources for winter gear and health supplements, amongst other things, and there tends to be a strain on resources during these extreme winter months. The spread of viruses and illnesses also rise due to the heavily polluted air from the burning of toxic materials (e.g. car tyres, shoes, clothes) to keep warm, calling for more medical expenses. These are some of the many things your donation will go towards.

This COVID season has served as an important reminder of my privilege and that I am in need of nothing. Thank you so much for your support and for joining me in this journey, the kids and I appreciate it SO much!!

I plan to split this cycle over 2 days, weather dependent -

7th Dec: Eastern side of the island

14th Dec: Western side of the island

Every donation helps - big or small - to help the kids get through the winter months, thank you so much again for your generosity and love ❤️
