Raising money for Crumlin
A Few of us are taking part in the
DONEGAL ATLANTIC WAY ULTRA RACE on the 23rd of June. A short spin of 555KM around Donegal in less than 40hours.
We have decided to raise money for the children's diabetes unit in Crumlin.
The parents of children attending the clinic try to raise €1000 each year. The Money raised helps fund an Extra Nurse in the unit. Meet ups for the Kids attending the clinics etc.
Matthew our little hero has lived with this condition for nearly 4 years now. Colin one of the team also lives with Type 1 diabetes. We want to show people that Diabetes should not hold you back from achieving your goals.
We are taking our inspiration from Team Novo Nordisk a global all-diabetes sports team of cyclists, triathletes and runners, spearheaded by the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team.
So on the 23rd and 24th of June, we will don the Team Novo Nordisk kit, we hope you will support us in our trip around our home county and help us raise funds for the centre in Crumlin.
Anything raised over the target will go to Diabetes Ireland.
