Cycle for Covid

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Emily.  I live in D.C. and am a triathlete.

Cycling means the world to me, and the world needs us to cycle for them right now!  As COVID-19 has unfolded, I have felt a strong desire to make my daily rides count for something more than myself - that's why I'm asking you to #sweatitforward with me by donating $1 for every mile you ride in the month of April.

Proceeds will be collected at the end of April by my friend Emily Yates and given to hospital staff members of Medstar Georgetown Hospital and GWU Hospital to help feed staff during their shifts as they lovingly care for members of our community who are sick with COVID-19.  Each shift costs about $750 total for the unit, so I'm hoping we can raise at least $1,500 total to cover 2 shifts, if not more!   Extra funds will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB).

I welcome you to challenge yourself this month and join me in cycling in our fight against COVID-19!  Why not #sweatitforward?  Let's make the mundane meaningful together!

Please e-mail me at [email redacted] and Emily Yates at [email redacted] with any specific questions.  If you would like to set a mileage target and donate now in advance, feel free to do so!

With love and gratitude,
Emily
