Turn generosity into opportunity

Help underserved New York City residents gain practical skills, confidence, and pathways to employment.

My name is Aboubacar Diawara, Founder and Executive Director of Golden Tech Workforce & Education, Inc. (GTWE), an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are raising funds to develop the Harlem Cybersecurity and Economic Mobility Lab and expand access to technology education, career preparation, and financial literacy.

Our $500,000 three-year fundraising plan

This GoFundMe supports GTWE’s overall $500,000 three-year plan. Gifts through this campaign will count toward that shared goal alongside other donations, grants, and sponsorships.

Launch — $100,000

Equip the lab and support initial training, certification preparation, outreach, career coaching, and participant services.

Expand — $200,000 additional

Broaden training pathways, supervised projects, mentoring, and career support after reviewing launch results.

Sustain — $200,000 additional

Support recurring training cohorts, instruction, lab access, and continued career guidance.

Together, these planning allocations total $500,000. Implementation will proceed in phases as funding and program readiness allow.

What your generosity makes possible

Your gift helps fund computers, software, learning tools, instruction, and supervised practice in areas such as cybersecurity, AI, IT support, and data analytics. It also supports certification preparation, portfolio development, career guidance, and financial literacy.

For residents facing barriers to opportunity, access to these resources can help connect learning with practical experience and a clearer next step toward employment or further education.

We plan to track participation, completion, practical work, credentials earned, and documented career progress as programs develop. These results will help guide the next phase of the lab.

Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

Every gift helps create opportunity. Please donate and share this campaign with someone who believes in expanding access to education and economic mobility.

Thank you for turning generosity into opportunity.
