It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of our beloved community member, Kalwa Tembo.

Kalwa brought extraordinary joy, a comforting presence, endless empathy, and passionate devotion to the communities she was involved in. Kalwa loved dancing. She began dancing from a young age, taking ballet classes and in her later years of life she fell in love with hip hop, jazz, and afrobeats, being a dancer with the Afro Dance and Culture Club at the University of Toronto.

In memory of the life that she lived and the light that she carried, we are raising money to support her family in covering the expenses of her service.
