Hi, my name is Jessica. I'm a 31 yr old with four beautiful children, ages 12, 11, 10, amd 1 amd a half. In 2017 at the age of 26, I was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast cancer that traveled from my breast to my right arm, causing Lymphedema in my right arm and hand. I received chemo and radiation in hopes of killing my cancer. I unfortunately in October of 2017, had my first mastectomy. A few months later, I found another lump on the opposite side, leading to my second mastectomy in 2018. After receiving my second mastectomy and beginning to learn how to live what was now my "normal" everyday life, I received the news of the cancer returning. In late 2019, I was on my second journey of chemo and radiation. After finishing more chemo and radiation, I began physical therapy in hopes of helping my arm getting back to normal. For the next 3 years, I went through new medicines, more physical therapy and more chemo. In 2021 around Christmas time, I went to the doctors for what I thought was a routine scan to see how my cancer was doing. Unfortunatley I got devastaing news. Not only was my cancer still there but now it was spreading to other parts of my body. In the beginning of April of this year, I was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and a form of Bone marrow cancer.
Unfortunately for my family and myself, my insurance does not cover the treatments and they will not start the treatments until they are paid in full. I work as a teacher full-time but it doesn't cover what I currently need. I'm not the type to ask for help but I am asking for donation to be able to start my treatments as soon as possible. Anything helps, even your support! Thank you for reading my story.
