I had an unfortunate fall and broke my ankle a week ago. I work in the service industry, so I can't work for up to 6 months. I'm a single mom to a teenage boy. My health insurance through work won't cover any of my medical bills or surgery. I'm not able to apply for medical leave yet as I haven't had my surgery. I'm already behind on rent with paying for x-rays and surgeon appointments to move forward. I hate to ask for help, but any kind of support will be much appreciated.
