On July 14, 2025, Jeremy Headlee underwent what was expected to be a routine outpatient procedure to replace a herniated disc in his upper spine. Tragically, a complication during surgery caused trauma to his spinal cord, and he woke from anesthesia unable to move or feel his body from the chest down.

In the face of this life-altering injury, Jeremy’s strength has been nothing short of extraordinary – not a surprise for anyone that knows him. He immediately began working with in-patient physical therapy, and within days, made his first sign of progress – movement in his right foot. His positivity and determination remain unshaken, and his family is by his side every step of the way.

But the road ahead will be long and challenging.

Jeremy is a devoted husband and father of two young children. As he begins the grueling process of rehabilitation, his wife has stepped up to manage everything at home, but the financial and logistical strain is overwhelming.
