Ghana Medical Missions Trip

Hello from South Carolina!

As you may know, I just recently completed my Master of Medical Science, with a Public Health focus from Liberty University. I am currently enrolled into their School of Health Sciences PhD program with a focus in Public Health. It is my desire to love and serve people in the underserved and vulnerable populations.

I am excited to share with you about an opportunity that God has given me to serve in an under-resourced community. This summer, it has been placed on my heart to go on a mission trip to Ghana, Africa, alongside a former professor of mine, Dr. Amy Hicks. As God wills, I will be there May 23rd-June 4th serving. We will be ministering in Ghana and partnering with a missionary school in Aiyinassi, Ghana that currently educates approximately 200 students from 2 years of age to 18 years of age. Our purpose and hope is to acquire vital intercultural competence and international health care experience. In addition, we seek to administer nutrition solutions and other health interventions.

I am very thrilled to be partnering with Bob Jones University’s study abroad program, and my former professor, Dr. Amy Hicks to bring Christ’s love to the people of Ghana. However, as I know God is calling me to serve, I am relying on Him for strength and wisdom as I plan and raise financial support. I know all good things come from Him; for if it is His will, all will be provided. As I have now expressed my heart to you and desire to serve in Aiyinassi, Ghana this summer, I know that I am not able to do it on my own. And as you feel called, I would be blessed if you would consider supporting me prayerfully and/or financially.

The total cost of the trip is $3,400, which I need to raise by April 1, 2022. I am also seeking prayer partners to pray for our group, the ministries, safety, the people of Ghana, and the trip as a whole each day throughout the trip. If it is your heart to be a prayer partner for us, I would feel overwhelmingly blessed; it takes all of us as the body of Christ.
