For most people who know us know Jaydans Journey by following her caringbridge or from us directly but I want to give a quick overview of her story for the people who haven’t followed her story or are just now hearing about her story. 

Jaydan was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in early 2016, she beat this terrible disease 2x and her doctors were optimistic that Jaydan had beaten this thing for good. Unfortunately this past March the disease reappeared and it was at this point that the doctors told us that they could no longer cure Jaydan of this disease, they told us that Jaydan was now considered terminal. As a parent this is the worst news you can imagine hearing, Jaydan had been putting up such a strong fight and it broke everyone’s heart when we got this news. Her doctors did say that there was one more thing we could try called immune therapy which would essentially boost her immune system to attack her tumors and cancer and give her some more time. During her last scan, it showed that the cancer had spread everywhere and what they told us next was soul crushing. Jaydan was given a 6 month life expectancy.

As you can imagine we are staying hopeful that these drugs will give her longer to live but also can’t be naive and act like time with her isn’t precious or guaranteed. 

Jaydan has asked to go on a few trips, sheis currently in Florida with her mom and asked us to take her to Nevada to see hercousins and then she wants to drive to California from there. 

Time is everything right now and she is feeling good right now so the sooner we can take this trip the better. 

As you know bills don’t stop when someone is going through something like this so even though my job has been amazing and donated me enough PTO hours to take a nice chunk of work off to be with Jayda and still get paid our money is still tied up with bills and taking care of all these kiddos.
