Funeral expenses for Emil

Donation protected
My sister in law, April (who is 33 years old) is 31 weeks pregnant. She was ecstatic to find out she was pregnant. Not long after she found she was expecting, she had some prenatal testing which showed that baby Emil has Down Syndrome. Which was later confirmed with amniocentesis. The doctor that she was seeing suggested that she abort Emil. But April said no because she was going to do whatever it took to have Emil. Having Down Syndrome is not a death sentence she said. She found another doctor.

April later found out that Emil's bladder was full of urine and it was not bring excreted out of his body. This ended up causing kidney damage. We do not know how damaged his kidneys are. This will be determined when he is born. Most likely he will need a kidney transplant but before that, he will need dialysis for up to a year. April is now on bed rest until after Emil is born. She does have to see the maternal fetal specialists twice a week now. They are now talking about admitting her to the hospital to monitor her and Emil for the duration of her pregnancy.

We do not know how sick Emil will be when he joins us in this world. But we do know that God is in control. We know that He will heal and protect him.

There will be numerous medical bills over the course of his life. Many will develop over the first few months of his life. So if you are able to donate, any amount that you can offer would be so much appreciated.
