Help me have time to heal

I have a been struggling with health problems my entire life. But I never let it get in my way. 

Asthma? There are meds for that 
Hashimoto's? There are meds for that 
Rheumatoid arthritis? There are meds for that. 
Pulmonary embolisms/Dvt? There are meds for that. 

I got up every day, took my meds and went to work. I worked overnights and 12 hour days. I worked weekends and holidays. I worked and worked and worked because I was raised to know that you work hard for what you want. 

But now, I can’t work. I have a tarsal coalition in my left foot and degenerative Osteoarthritis. I literally can not put any weight onmy foot without it collapsing and causing pain. I am having surgery to fix it. But it’s a hard surgery and an even harder recovery. 6-12 months. First it is 3 months in a full hard cast and wheel chair. Then 2 more months in a walking boot with crutches. And I can’t work at all during that time. Due to the time I need to recover I have lost my position. They refused to allow me to work in a wheelchair or crutches. 

What I’m hoping for is enough money to cover my medical bills while I heal, while I recover. And then I will be back to working my ass off, I can promise you that. I am a hard worker, not someone looking for a free ride in life. I take pride in earning and growing and working hard. My father taught me the value of a dollar. My grandfather taught mewhat working hard gets you. 

It’s really hard for me to ask for help, but I am doing it because I believe in the goodness of people.
