A WIN for Team Digby!!
Today's blood test results:
White blood cell count good.
Liver back to normal at 65.
Creatinine 3.2 last time. Now down to 2, meaning it's in the range of mild damage. normal is about 1.5.
Test kidney values again in another 6 weeks.
It's been about 4 weeks since his last checkup and blood work, during which time he was on a special diet for two weeks, then generally re-introduced to his regular food. Today, he is eating with his old gusto, with good, happy lab energy, and he's gained 4 lbs.
I was sitting in the lobby with Digby, and his doctor walked by and didn't even recognize him, he looked so good. "Like a regular, healthy, chubby chocolate lab," she said. He was full of tail wags and smiles for the staff, who were all so happy to see him looking good.

And cheers to this great team for helping us save his life. We can't thank you enough!!
Life for Digby goes back to "normal" now, with no need for a special diet or medication, and the only thing we'll need to do is have his bloodwork done for his kidney values every 6 months by his regular vet. If for some reason those numbers should rise again, they can be brought down by a special diet.
