Hi, my name is Kristen Tucker & I created this fundraiser to help Avery get a service dog!
At age 7, Avery Sweat suddenly went into heart failure. Avery & her family have been staying at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH since June 18, 2021. Not only has Avery suffered from heart failure, she has also suffered many other struggles including seizures, a stroke, & even a craniotomy. Avery was able to receive a heart transplant on November 25, 2021 thanks to the courageous decision of an organ donor & their family!
On January 4, 2022, the Sweat family received the wonderful news that Avery's labs came back showing NO signs of rejection!! Now the Sweat family is preparing to bring Avery back home to Milton, WV.
All American Cane Corso's (Georgetown, KY) has partnered up with the Sweat family to get Avery a service dog. Cane Corsos, also known as Italian Mastiffs, are extremely intelligent & loyal dogs. With a large stature and protective nature, Corsos have been war dogs, large-game hunters, guardians, farm workers, & more! They are very well-rounded dogs & make avid companions - which are perfect qualities for a service animal to have!
Service animals & service dog training are both quite expensive. It is my goal with this platform to raise the funds necessary to bless this family with a service dog! They've been through so much & deserve this more than anything! Please consider donating today. The Sweat Family appreciates it more than you could ever imagine!
