Hi. Our names are Ray and Jenn Leclerc. On behalf of our friend Juli Rae Radloff, we have set up this Go Fund Me account to renovate her home to be handicap accessible. Renovations would consist of widening doorways, ramps, bathrooms and kitchen. Juli Rae desperately wants to go home to be with her two sons, Rick and Jesse and her best friend Gunner.
On August 28th, 2021, Juli Rae came home from work and started to prepare dinner. Rick came home and found his mom slumped over the couch. Rick attempted to set his mom up, and all he heard was gurgling. She was unresponsive, so Rick called 911. The 911 operator coached Rick through CPR until the paramedics arrived.
Fast forward to September 2022, Jui Rae has received speech, occupational, and physical therapy in a rehabilitation facility. After two brain surgeries and treatment, Juli can do most of her daily functions, but the doctors have told her she will never walk again. Let's work together and get Juli Rae home to her family.
Renovations will include widening interior and exterior doors and door jams. Ramps need to be built.
The bathroom needs to be wheelchair accessible, including grab bars.
The kitchen needs to be renovated for Juli's restrictions.
Now let's get to know Juli Rae!
In 1982, Juli Rae moved to Florida to care for her quadriplegic brother Bill. With her three-year-old son, Rick, born pre-mature, Juli cared for both of them. Juli was a hairstylist for 21 years and had her real estate license.
After the passing of her brother and father, Juli, the mom of two boys, is now her mom's and son's caregiver up until Juli's aneurysm.
Juli Rae gave her life to Christ and joined the First Baptist Church Of Indian Rocks in 1984. Rick was involved in the Special Olympics, and Jesse played baseball. Juli Rae sang in the choir and both boys in AWANA. Jesse chose to follow in both of his grandfather's footsteps
and enlisted into the Marines at eighteen years of age, did two tours in Iraq and was awarded a purple heart.
Juli Rae's love for animals took her down the path of a career change. She worked at a veterinary school and then took a volunteer position at Pinellas County Animal Services. With hard work and dedication, Juli was hired full-time with PCAS and worked her way up the ladder to a Rabies Investigator. Juli worked there up until her aneurysm on August 28th, 2021.
Juli's spirits are amazing, but as you can probably guess, she has a lot of downtime living in a facility and does have times when her spirits are down.
A Quote from Rick - "Mom, you can't give up! You saved me as a baby, and now I saved you. "
We want to thank all of you are reading Juli's story. Juli is very dear to us and has a heart of gold. Whether you donate or share this page, it will support our plans to renovate her home to be handicap accessible. Please keep Juli Rae and her family in your thoughts and prayers, so together we can #getjulihome
