Recovery from hate crime

On Friday, September 18th at 3am, I was viciously attacked by my neighbour after reporting him to Halifax Regional Police for abusing his wife.

I took more than a dozen punches to the head while being called a faggot + kicked in the face until his boot fell off.

I’m still sore and a bit loopy but I’m grateful it wasn’t worse. No serious injuries other than a concussion.

He’s been charged with Assault and Uttering Threats of Death or Bodily Harm.

Any funds will go toward bills/groceries and my recovery. These funds will also be used for any legal fees related to my case. I’m in my final year of journalism school and I don’t plan on letting this attack become a setback.
