Hello all, I am Jacob Gesell the President of Central Washington University's Club Golf Team. We are looking for help in the form of donations. Over the past two years Central Washington University has cut our already tight sport club budget by roughly 45% due to low student enrollment. What this means for us is our ability to pay tournament fees, travel fees and lodging fees became greatly limited. With golf being a relatively expensive sport, we are very limited in how much we can compete. So far between the previous leadership team and current we have managed and been able to grow incrementally. This includes things such as our roster size showing significant growth, going from barely a team of 6 to almost a team of 16. With this improvement we have seen more and more interest in the club and hope to grow even more in the coming years but we cannot do that without your help. The Goal of the sport club is to give an opportunity to students to play golf semi competitively in order to provide an escape from the day to day life of school and to also build meaningful relationships and have a positive impact on those around us. This is my last year as the Club President as well as the rest of the leadership team as we are graduating. We hope to leave the club in a better place than when we took on our roles. We are asking you today to help us reach our goal of raising $8000 to allow us the opportunity to compete in the spring as well as provide a solid base for the club going forward with more budget cuts on the horizon.
