The Children’s Workshop PTA is delighted to join with the CWS administration to support the establishment of a CWS Community Pantry. This clothing and food pantry will be open to all within the CWS community – including newly arrived asylum-seeking families as well as all existing members of the CWS community. Once the pantry is set up in the next few weeks, it will be open on a schedule to all families in need so that they may utilize the pantry at no extra cost to serve their needs as they arise.
We are collecting monetary donations to help purchase the supplies needed for the initial establishment of the clothing pantry including special weather and rodent-proof storage boxes, clothing racks, shoes, new garments such as underwear and socks, and new hygiene supplies and toiletries.
We are grateful for the physical items community members have donated so far, and now that we have received those items, we need to purchase other supplies that the school has identified as urgently needed.
A huge thank you to all the families that have asked how they can offer support. Right now our greatest need is for monetary donations so that we can purchase the items we need in bulk. The PTA is grateful for any donations you can make via this GoFundMe, so that it is earmarked specifically for the new CWS Community Pantry. Any funds raised over the immediate and ongoing pantry need will be held by the PTA to further support family engagement.
The Children’s Workshop School PTA is a 501(c)3 and all donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
We are all a family under one sky!
