This is Daisy. She rescued me when she was 5 months old. She lived her life in a cage until the day I found her. I was recovering from death and a 30-day coma myself, and her love helped heal me. I have never met a more loving and appreciative baby in my life. She always has a hug, a kiss, and a tail wag ready for anyone. She really just lives for butt scratches. She is my special girl.
On Monday, November 24, my Daisy girl went to the backyard to go potty, and about 15-20 minutes later, she was at the front door screaming and crying. I opened the door to find her bloody with her skin peeled back. We rushed her to the vet, and they stitched her up... poorly. We don't really know what attacked her. We live in the desert, so they are thinking owl, hawk, or coyote. It got infected, the tissue was dying, and her stitches pulled apart. She was rushed to the ER on Sunday, November 30, where I was told she would need a $6700 surgery. I wasn't able to qualify for payment services and thought I was going to lose my girl. I couldn't wrap my head around it and was a bit hysterical. Luckily, we had a lot of prayers answered when an agency stepped in and helped my girl with the surgery. She has a long recovery ahead of her and requires daily vet visits to change her tie-on patch, which the donated funding doesn't cover. Daisy really needs those daily visits so she doesn't go septic and get fatally sick. Every little bit counts. I have 4 other dogs that need her as well, and we like to eat food and live indoors. I only make about half of what Daisy needs just for medical care, and without your kindness, I am afraid I will lose my girl.
We have all her information on TikTok on the account @downtoeartdiva, where you can also go and shop dog products that will help pay for Daisy's care as well. Thank you for your kind heart and compassion. We truly appreciate you.
