Hola, mi nombre es Juan Pablo Guzman. Soy estudiante-atleta venezolano. Juego beisbol y estudio ingeniería en la Universidad Brescia, ubicada en Owensboro, Kentucky en los EEUU. En estos momentos estoy pasando por una dificultad económica que podría ocasionar que pierda la oportunidad de seguir en el programa académico y en el equipo de beisbol en el cual me desempeño como catcher.
La oportunidad de jugar beisbol universitario llegó a mi luego de muchos años de esfuerzo y dedicación al beisbol y a mis estudios académicos. Mi principal objetivo es convertirme en beisbolista profesional, algo que no se dió cuando tenía 16 años. Por esta razon, mis padres y yo orientamos nuestros esfuerzos a conseguir una oportunidad de prolongar mi carrera deportiva y comenzar mis estudios universitarios en los EEUU. De esta manera, obtuve una beca para jugar beisbol en la universidad aquí en los EEUU. A pesar de que obtuve una beca atlética y académica que cubre gran parte de la matrícula, mis padres deben cubrir el resto de ella, ademas de mis gastos personales. Por eso acudo a su generosidad, confiando en que puedan apoyar de manera económica mi carrera universitaria. Mis padres se encuentran en Venezuela y cada vez es mas complicado para ellos el cubrir la matricula universitaria y mis gastos personales. Estoy seguro que con su apoyo lograré la meta de culminar mi carrera de ingeniería y llevar mi nivel de beisbol a lo mas alto. Dios los bendiga a todos, muchas gracias de antemano.

At this moment I am going through an economic difficulty that could cause me to lose the opportunity to continue in the academic program and in the baseball team in which I play as a catcher.
The opportunity to play college baseball came to me after many years of hard work and dedication to baseball and my academic studies. My main goal is to become a professional baseball player, something that did not happen when I was 16 years old. For this reason, my parents and I oriented our efforts to get an opportunity to prolong my sports career and start my college studies in the USA. In this way, I obtained a scholarship to play baseball in college here in the USA. Although I obtained an athletic and academic scholarship that covers a large part of the tuition, my parents must cover the rest of it, in addition to my personal expenses. That is why I am appealing to your generosity, trusting that will be able to financially support my college career. My parents are in Venezuela and it is becoming more and more complicated for them to cover my college tuition and personal expenses.
