Hello everyone,

I'm writing this on behalf of my sister, Karie Dupre (Rodriguez), and her husband, Artie Dupre. This morning, they tragically lost their home and nearly all their possessions to a devastating fire. The cause was determined to be an electrical fire that started with a window air conditioning unit.

This loss is especially painful as the home belonged to Artie's late mother, who passed away just five months ago. They were just beginning to build their life there, surrounded by her memory, and now it is all gone.

Due to the extremely high cost of home insurance in our hurricane-prone area, they were uninsured and are now facing the overwhelming task of starting over from scratch. While some things are irreplaceable, we are hoping to help them get back on their feet and find a new place to call home.

We are trying to raise between $5,000 and $10,000 to serve as a down payment for a new home or to cover the significant costs of moving a used mobile home they have been offered at a great price. Fortunately, Artie did acquire the land from his late mother as well.
