Help for the Poor Children in Afghanistan

Sadaqah extinguishes sins as water extinguishes fire - Tirmidhi Everyday there is a suicide attack where hundreds of lives are lost, leaving thousands of children orphans, and as a result, on the streets. A recent study conducted by UNICEF revealed that 36% of Afghanistan’s population (about 9 million) live in absolute poverty. In other words, no access to food, healthcare let alone education and another 37% of Afghanistan’s population live in poverty. Collectively that’s 73% of Afghanistan that’s living in or below poverty and majority of it being children. For decades children have been neglected, abused and disposed of.
As we all prepare and restock our fridges/storages for 30 days of the holy month of Ramadan, there are those whose Ramadans last 365 days and not just 30 days.
As narrated by Prophet Mohammad pbuh “[Allah has said] Every good deed of Adam’s son is for him except for fasting. It is for me and I shall reward him for it” This Ramadan do not feed 3, 5 or even 10 families for a month and leave them begging for food for the next 11 months.
Have you ever wondered how will they survive the rest of the 11 months? Where their children would be? Or if they will even see another Ramadan? This Ramadan be a change maker, become the bridge and assist ONE family but with all their needs for 12 months not just during Ramadan.
We PLEDGE that you give ONE family the help they deserve, the food they need and most importantly the stability they need to stand on their own.
Children Without Borders is a registered non-profit and non political organization founded in Toronto, Canada with the mission of eradicating child Labour in Afghanistan. Since 2016, we have successfully taken 115 children out of labour and given them a new beginning. (See success stories at www.childrenwithoutborders.ca)
At CWB, we pledge to you to help us not just feed families, but give them a roof over their head, and a full year without any financial stress. We urge you all to please donate your sadaqah, fitr and zakat to CWB and we will ensure it reaches the most deserved family. We currently have a list of 10 families whose children are out of school and engaged in child Labour. They are at risk of every possible crime and even death.
With your donation, we will be taking these children off streets, enrolling in schools and giving them and their families a FUTURE.

Aside from taking children off streets, we have always taken the case of 2 month-old Masih who suffers from a condition called Spina Bifida. Our team in Kabul has already got their passports to transfer Masih and his parents to Pakistan where Dr. Khalid Zadran, Neurosurgeon, will be performing the surgery.
