Hi iam the mother of Nolan James Carroll. Nolan was given a very unfortunate life due to a genetic disease that was passed by both dad and I. When Nolan was born we had no idea why he was so sick almost monthly. He was diagnosed with Niemann-Pick disease type A which is very deadly to infants and toddlers. We were told he had upto 3yr of life with no chance of a cure. We have been fighting this disease with him as we struggle to watch our once very happy and smiling baby reach his milestones. He stopped reaching his milestones and started to progress back into a estimated 3 month old at the age of 15 months old. He has stopped rolling, babbling( baby talk), playing with his toys. He has started loosing muscle control in his arms and legs. He now has absencent seizures almost daily. We are pushing medication through him just to ease his pain daily almost hourly. On Monday 6/12/23 Nolan wouldn't wake up he was unresponsive labored breathing. That is when we were told he had maybe upto 2 weeks left to live by hospice. This has been the hardest thing we as parents have had to endure. We have made the funeral arrangements as of 6/13/23 which to our surprise wasn't as costly as we expected but still out of our budget as we miss work and try to spend as much time as we can while he is still earth bound. No parent should ever have to bury there child let alone there baby. This has been hard emotionally and physically watch our sunshine baby turn cold and gloomy. The sun just doesn't shine anymore for us as we struggle with this hardache. If you feel it in your soul to donate we greatly appreciate it if you could say some continued prayers as we go on in life with out him that would be helpful as well. God wrap your hands around us all as you take our sweet baby with you.
6/27/2023 Nolan gained his wings and joined God. His struggle with Niemann-Pick disease is finally over he is pain free and dancing in heavens gates.
7/7 today is Nolan funeral as we try to lay our beloved son to rest we ask that you all send prayers our way as we try to navigate this new life. Jeff nolans dad who is our financial care has been off work over 3 weeks now. We have paid most of our bills but don't expect him to get a pay check for another 2 weeks. We have tons of upcoming bills that we are trying to take care of but afraid we may be come behind financially till he's back to work full time.
