Finding Joy in the Journey

Life is hard we all feel that.  Please donate to help Joy Burkholder's fight hurt a little less.  Knowing that we are in a time of great financial instability your donation is extra special.  Joy had a routine exam in early February which resulted in the need for a biopsy.  She has been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma. Cancer in a milk duct.  We lost our mother to Breast Cancer in 2013.  This fight is all too familiar for our family.  On April 15th she is scheduled for surgery and having a lumpectomy.  Radiation therapy will be scheduled 4 weeks after.  Dealing with this life altering event is difficult.  The other factors no one should have to face are: $4,000 insurance deductible, depleted vacation hours from dealing with Covid quarantine, and travel expenses to numerous appointments.  Applications for assistance and short term disability have been submitted in hopes she can qualify but the world doesn't stop spinning to learn if you're going to be able to pay your bills and put food on the table.  We are truly blessed to have such an awesome family support system, but sometimes that isn't enough.  A simple "thank you"  doesn't do justice to how deeply we appreciate your support.  Your compassion and generosity will be forever remembered, thank you endlessly ❤️
