Donate to help a family in need

My name is Cindy Roskowski, a retired 67 year old handicapped senior and am in need of

some emergency financial help. I hate that I must come to this point, but I have no other

choice and am hoping this can aid in resolving our problem.

 

On June 11th, my air conditioning unit died and our home was a whooping 98 degrees

causing us to get heat exhaustion and dehydration. Living in South Florida with these hot

temperatures without air conditioning is unlivable.

 

I have medical conditions and my disabled

son Ed also lives with me.

 

On Monday the A/C company said the unit is not repairable and a new unit would

cost $6000. Unfortunately, who has that kind of money? I live on a fixed income, SSI.

My son who suffers from a crippling and debilitating disease applied for SSDI over 9 months ago and is still waiting for a response. Therefore, we are trying to get by on only one income.

 

My son's friend has graciously let us stay with him and his family temporarily and our hearts

are filled with gratitude and love for their generosity.

 

The story doesn't even end there. Last week we were hit with a couple of horrific storms and a tornado hit near our home, damaging our roof in several areas and causing a few major

leaks. This is the price you pay for living in paradise.

 

We have been exploring several avenues to seek assistance but

have only come to dead ends.

 

We are so thankful for all of the the support we have received so far and any donations

through this trying time is greatly appreciated. With God's strength we will get through this.
