CVU Student Justice Committee to DC

The students of Champlain Valley Union (CVU) High School intend to participate in the March For Our Lives in Washington DC on March 24th.  This march is in protest of school shootings, and government inaction. This march is the second action in a series of events CVU is planning. But we aren't just marching, we hope to foster a dialogue with our federal and state representatives to bring about positive change to protect the lives of our students. Not only are school shootings devastating because of the lives they take and the injuries they cause, but because they leave lasting psychological damage that can hinder the opportunities of survivors for years to come. Whatever action you think is best; whatever methods of recourse you see as necessary; we hope you can support our efforts to send the message #ENOUGH.

We will leave late Friday night, march through the day Saturday, then drive back Saturday evening. We need to raise $7500 for a bus, plus $500 for our driver's hotel room and other expenses. Any help you can provide is appreciated. The funds will be withdrawn by a proxy (Shana Trombley) as I am not yet eighteen. They will then be transfered into my account, to be managed by the SJC. Please share this campaign with as many people as possible across social media. Thank you.
