My name is Raven Rodriguez, my pronouns are they/them, and I'm a transgender person who is trying to raise money for top surgery. I will be paying everything out of pocket, including hotel stay, self-care for both pre and post surgery, and transportation to, from, and around my clinic of choice. $12,000 would be covering the surgery itself, and medical aids (I'll be paying for non-medical care myself). I battled my insurance in court with the help of a lawyer in order to get sent to a knowledgeable and respected plastic surgeon, and lost. They refused to send me to someone with experience on fat, transmasc bodies. So, it falls to this fundraiser! The goal was raised from $6,800 once I lost the case.

I've known I was trans since I was a young teenager, and have desired top surgery for many years. As my dysphoria gets worse, this gender affirming surgery becomes more and more necessary for me to achieve. Every dollar counts towards my goal, and I will also be working behind the scenes to contribute to this goal with my own money as well!
