Anna’s Fight
If you live in Woolwich (or any of the surrounding towns within a 10 mile radius) you probably know the Carpino Family. In 2007 Anna and Pat Carpino received the devastating news that their little boy, Mario, had inoperable brain tumors. For years there were countless stays and trips to the hospital, and many many nights of anxiety awaiting results from Marios latest MRI. But even during all this heartache and anxiety, Anna found it within her to do what she so generously does...help OTHERS! For years Anna and her family held town wide Lemonade stands with 100’s of donated baskets! Over the years they raised OVER a HALF MILLION dollars for pediatric cancer!!! The work to put these events together was endless and exhausting but Anna refused to give up on finding a cure! By the grace of god Mario is 17 now and continues to get good reports with his tumors being stable.
Sadly that is where the good news ends....earlier this year Anna herself was also diagnosed with brain tumors. Anna has been through 2 brain surgeries, Chemo and radiation. She recently had an MRI only to find out her tumors have increased in size. We are all devastated by the news, but will continue to pray that this time the radiation works and Anna is healed! As Anna says “pray to the heavens! There is no time for worry! Worry gets you no where!”
This Go Fund Me was created to help ease the financial stress of everything the Carpino family is dealing with... They ask for nothing but prayers...but if you would like to help please donate if you can ...Thank you
