Cancer is a b-tch: The Cox family needs your help!

Update: 12/22/24 - Robert passed away early this morning. This is beyond devastating to their family & friends, and they really need our thoughts, prayers, and support.

It is with heavy hearts that we share an update about Robert, a beloved husband, friend, and fighter.

After a courageous four-year battle with throat cancer, Robert’s condition has taken a critical turn. Though his cancer was initially deemed treatable, it has resisted every treatment and returned each time more aggressive than before. Despite the odds, Robert continues to fight valiantly, but the challenges have become overwhelming.

Lisa and I have been best friends since we were in the 7th grade. It's weird how some people stick in your life, especially since we only went to school together for about 6 months. She met Robert while working at Red Rockets Pizza Port in Disneyland, and the rest was history. They got married in 1999 and have two incredible children, Morgan and Mckenna, who are in their early 20s.

Robert and his wife, Lisa, have faced not only the emotional toll of this journey but also an immense financial burden. Living in Las Vegas, Robert sought treatment at the renowned City of Hope in Phoenix, a testament to their unwavering hope and determination. This meant frequent trips—driving back and forth every three weeks at times—along with mounting medical bills and hotel expenses. Most recently, when Robert's health took a sharp decline in a Henderson hospital, a medical transport to City of Hope in Phoenix was their only option. This critical transport alone cost over $4,000.

Throughout this grueling journey, Robert has been able to work only intermittently, and Lisa has dedicated herself entirely to his care. The financial strain of battling cancer is devastating. Now, Lisa faces these overwhelming expenses on her own.
