Help Our Family After a Devastating House Fire

To our community,

In the early hours of this morning (June 12), around 1:30am, our lives changed in an instant. I woke up to thick black smoke and flames tearing through our home. My husband and I did everything we could to slow the fire down, but it spread fast. By the grace of God, we were able to get our three children, Ezra (11), Emery (4), and baby Everly (8 months) out safely.

As you may or may not have seen in the news, the fire caused significant damage. We are heartbroken to lose our home and most of our belongings, but we’re holding on to the biggest blessing, we are all safe and together.

We are currently displaced and unable to return to our home. At this time, there is no confirmed date for when or if we’ll be able to go back, so we need to find temporary accommodations as soon as possible. I’m currently on maternity leave and on a fixed income, which makes this all the more difficult.

So many of you have reached out with love, prayers, texts, and calls , thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

If I haven’t responded, please know it’s just been overwhelming, and we feel every bit of your support.

• Financial support to help us find a safe place to stay and begin rebuilding

We also want to thank the firefighters and first responders who came to our aid. Thank you for your bravery, your care, and for looking after all of us during such a traumatic experience.

We are especially grateful for the medical team who provided carbon monoxide treatment to our entire family - your quick action and compassion will never be forgotten.
